Referrals

We work with several board certified surgeons to perform joint surgeries at our hospital. More specialized orthopedic cases requiring bone plating, knee surgery and hip replacements are referred to local veterinary surgical specialty practices.

We also employ the skills of a mobile board-certified radiologist to perform echocardiograms, advanced abdominal ultrasound exams, guided aspirates for cytology and guided biopsies for histopathology.

Our veterinarians have close working relationships with local internal medicine specialists. We refer endoscopic procedures to them.

If your pet requires cancer therapy, we refer to local veterinary oncologists. During treatment, your pet's oncologist may recommend blood tests. These tests are usually performed at our hospital; however, it is sometimes necessary to send blood to the specialist for additional testing.
