Linda Wolf, veterinary manager at Pleasanton CA vetLinda and her husband, Dr. Wolf have owned Amador Valley Veterinary Hospital since 1989. She joined our team as the practice manager in January 2000. Linda has long had a strong interest in animal behavior, and she now serves as the hospital’s pet behavior consultant.

After graduating from the University of California, Davis in 1982 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Animal Behavior, she operated her own thriving pet behavior consultation practice in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years.  During the late 1980s, Linda attended graduate school in education and earned a teaching credential in biological sciences and math.  After 10 years of teaching special programs and high school biology and zoology, she retired to become the practice manager at our hospital.

As the practice manager, Linda ensures that the entire hospital staff works as a team to provide the best possible client care, as well as, continually improving the hospital's medical and client service protocols. She is glad to make the hospital a welcoming and caring place for clients, pets and staff.

Linda and her husband Dr. Wolf are proud parents of two adult sons, Aaron and Josh and share their home with several pets including three dogs, “Lyka” (papillion), “Sherman” (cairn terrier/pomeranian mix) and “Jasmine” (springer spaniel mix), two cats, “Nikita” and “Lando”, and an amazon parrot, “Donovan”. She and Dr. Wolf have bred and showed Labrador retrievers for many years and are both members of the World Wildlife Federation.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking kung fu and tai chi classes with Dr. Wolf. They also enjoy hiking, swimming, snorkeling, reading, traveling and watching movies (especially sci-fi films).

Kathi Austin, bookkeeper at Pleasanton, CA veterinarian Kathi Austin is the bookkeeper and payroll specialist at Amador Valley Veterinary Hospital. A member of the staff since 2005, she enjoys working in the friendly, caring atmosphere of the hospital. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her Pug, Ellie. Scrapbooking, crafting, gardening, and participating in church activities are just some of her many hobbies. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
